FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

  • Can I order a cake for Sunday, Monday, Tuesday OR Wednesday?
    No sorry. We only make cakes Thursday to Saturday. No exceptions.
  • Do you make allergen specific cakes?
    No sorry. We do not provide vegan, gluten free, dairy free, low fodmap, low GI and all other free and low alternatives. The risk of cross contamination is too high in our small premise and we prefer to not run the risk on anyones health in the event off a specific allergen finding its way into your order.
  • How long will my cake keep?
    Cakes will keep up to 3-4 days. They are made on the day of collection so you pick up the freshest possible cake available. Store cakes in their boxes with a tea towel covering, under a cake stand or in the fridge (last resort).
  • If I order a cake today will it be ready today?
    No sorry. We need at least 48 hours minimum to prepare for your order. If you are in a SUPER sticky spot, give us a ring and we may be able to help. Please only in emergencies.
  • The website says orders are closed. Does that include exisiting orders?
    Sometimes we get really busy and we never want to sacrifice the quality of our products by increasing capacity too much. If we are unable to fulfil your order, you will be contacted and refunded. If you are not contacted, you order will still be made with the requirements and date provided by you.
  • I can't pick up my cake within the specific times, what do I do?
    We take all orders to Kantis Dairy across the road from Tomboy after 2pm each available day. They are located next to Ortega Fish Shack. He will hold your order for 24 hours.
  • I want a cake in the shape of a fire breathing donkey, can you do this?
    No sorry. We wish. What you see online, is all that is available.
  • Can I collect my cake earlier?
    Over the years it has been easy to say yes maybe to this however with the demand so high and the cafe to run also not to mention our kitchen being so small we can only have our orders ready at the specified times. Thursday & Friday 11-2 Saturday 12-2
  • Can I book a table in the cafe?
    Give us a ring to see. We are limited on seating as it is but our customers move quickly enough so you won't need to wait long.
  • What are your hours?
    The cafe operates Tuesday to Friday 7.30am - 2pm & Saturday to Sunday 9am - 2 pm
  • Do you offer private/in home catering?
    We are so happy to provide in-house catering for private events. Please see our Private Events booking form. Please see our catering options for platters and other small savoury bites for in house events. These are for pick up only.
  • Can we book out the cafe for a function?
    Absolutely yes! We would love to host you and your guests for an intimate event. Please see our Events page on the website alternatively get in touch for more information.
